I have devoted most of my life to understanding the principles that enable people to improve their lives and live the American dream of being free. It is those principles of a free society that have shaped my life, my family and business. Since becoming a cancer survivor at the young age of 8 I have realized how short and precious life is and how each and every one of us have a finite amount of time to live free and pursue our dreams to make a difference.

Unfortunately, the concepts of dignity, respect, justice, equality and hard work are all under attack by not just our federal government, but our state government as well. A truly free society is based on a vision of respect for people and what they value. In a truly free society, any business that disrespects it customers will fail, and deserves to do so. The same should be true of any government that disrespects its citizens. Our government has a role to protect us but not control us.

That’s why we have the problems that we do now. Two America’s, one that works for some people while the other America destroys value, raises costs, hinders innovation and relegates millions to a life of poverty, dependency and hopelessness. Look at our own state. For years they have raised our energy costs telling our citizens that it’s for the greater good and that the politicians know that nuclear power is better for us. What happened, the fraud, waste and abuse of close to $15 billion in tax dollars for a failed nuclear project not even half finished before it was scrapped. We could have outfitted each and every one of our homes with solar for the amount of money they wasted. Think about that every month when you get your power bill. Look at our state’s roads, the leaders of our state raise our gas tax to help pay for roads that these projects are still not getting done. How about education, South Carolina is always last in overall education. If we’re all created equal, then shouldn’t our schools be created equal in that same vision.

Libertarians simply want to talk about the proper relationship between the state and individual. What kind of S.C. do we want to live in? How free are you really? Are either of the two parties truly representing you or are you choosing the greater of the two evils. I want independent, Rational, pragmatic solutions based on individual liberty as the ultimate ends. That’s why I’m running. To be represent those that don’t have a voice now in the two-party system. Which is why I am unapologetically Pro-libertarian

choice, Pro gun, Pro pot, pro school choice or anything else that gives the individual the power back. The citizens in this state deserve to live in freedom, so legalize it!
